The 🍄4th Annual African Rising Mushroom Festival 🍄 is hosted by Environmental Conservation and Agricultural Enhancement Uganda (Eco-Agric Uganda) at their Mushroom growing center three kilometers from the Hoima central market in rural Eastern Uganda. This year's theme, "From Waste to Wealth," highlights the transformative power of mushrooms in addressing some of Africa's most pressing challenges, including food security, poverty, and environmental sustainability.
About The Event
The festival features a range of activities, including exhibitions, industry speakers, mushroom training and mentorship programs, networking opportunities, and innovative mycology solutions and technology showcases. Activities will run from 7:30am to 5:30pm EAT in Uganda each day over the 3-day festival. Live virtual sessions will run from 7:30am to 10:00 EAT each day. Please note that this is 8:30pm to 11:00pm Pacific Time the evening prior.
